The time is now KNOCKOUTDESIGN was commissioned by the Institute of Industrial Design in Warsaw to create the project in the frame of the Fortis Design Program. The project was initially set up to present the conceptual vision of relaxation in the future. It was finalized in the exhibition "Time to Relax", presented in Warsaw and during Gdynia Design Days 2008. "The Time is Now" presents our perception of the concept of time, and a future vision of it in several fields.
Three Clocks - Three parts of installation
01. Private Time
A wall clock that displays the actual time only after touching the white surface. Time is available only when you need to know it.
02. Common Time
An installation that invites the viewers to freeze time. When two of them sit together for a conversation on a pair of chairs, the clock projected on a wall in front of them stops. When they stand up again, the clock resumes its work.
03. Public Time
Illustrated in a motion picture showing the tempo of a city. The public time is a vision of city clocks that accelerate according to the rhythm of the traffic and pedestrians, and slows down when the city life eases.
